It's important edible printers are well maintained as they can be susceptible to clogging especially if the printer isn't used regularly. It's also essential to use a good quality edible ink. EPS edible ink has been double filtered to help prolong the life of the printhead. Edible Print Supplies only supply Canon printers because the printhead can be easily removed and cleaned unlike Epson printers.

It's important to be aware sometimes it can take several cleans of the printhead for clogs to clear. If cleaning the printhead doesn't work, it may be time to purchase a new one. Genuine Canon replacement printheads can be purchased online.
It's also good practice if you're using refillable cartridges and the printer isn't going to be used for any length of time to remove the cartridges, insert them into back into the orange holders they were supplied with and clean the printhead.
Leave the cartridges out of the printer then next time you print you're less likely to have any printhead problems!
